The Olympus BX51 upright microscope offers reflection mode (for opaque samples) and transmission light illumination. Current applications include characterisation of silicon wafers and devices, organic/inorganic thin films and biological samples.

Features of the BX51 include:

  • Large mechanical stage, rotatable 200 degrees
  • U-PO3 polariser slider for reflected light with U-AN360-3 analyser for reflected light (360 degrees)
