Terahertz (THz) spectroscopy allows scientists to study fundamental physical phenomena by probing low-energy electronic and molecular excitations.
Utilising electromagnetic waves of frequencies between the microwave and infrared regions of the spectrum, THz spectroscopy provides unique capabilities. This technique is currently applied for investigations in physics, chemistry and biology. Researchers at LCN not only apply THz spectroscopy in scientific studies but also actively develop enabling technologies that will advance applications of this technique and allow practical use of THz waves for sensing, imaging and future high-bandwidth communications.
