Study at the LCN
The LCN is a world-leading research institution located in one of the world's most vibrant and diverse capital cities. The Centre brings together researchers from around the world who, through the application of nanoscience and nanotechnology, are helping to solve global problems in fields such as information processing, medicine and the environment.
Our large and diverse PhD community is engaged in a wide and varied range of research activities that cover not only the core areas of nanotechnology, but also the fundamental scientific fields that underpin it. This can include projects that cover many related areas of fundamental science that might not be classified as nanotechnology in other institutions, including condensed matter physics, healthcare, energy research, photonics, materials science, neutron and x-ray scattering, security science, complex systems and molecular modelling
We are looking for high achieving, high calibre people, from a broad range of scientific disciplines, to join us and study in one of the most exciting, rigorous research environments available.
As a research focused institution, the LCN currently admits only PhD students directly, however does have a few associated Masters programmes and opportunities for undergraduate students; please see the relevant Masters or Undergraduate pages for further details.
Please see the How to Apply page for further details on joining the LCN PhD Community.
