Meera Parish is a lecturer at the London Centre for Nanotechnology at UCL. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from the Australian National University, and subsequently went on to complete a PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics at the University of Cambridge. To further broaden her horizons, she then spent three years as a postdoctoral fellow in the Princeton Center for Theoretical Science at Princeton University, before returning to Cambridge in 2009 to take up an EPSRC Career Acceleration fellowship. She is currently building a programme of interdisciplinary theoretical research on strongly correlated phenomena that bridges the fields of atomic gases and unconventional superconductors. In 2012, she was awarded the IOP Maxwell Medal and prize for her achievements.
