Argentinian Minister of Science Visits London Centre for NanotechnologyArgentine Minister of Science visits London Centre for Nanotechnology at UCL Dr Lino Barañao, Minister of Science for the Republic of Argentina, accompanied by Prof. Fernando Audebert, Dr. Marina Galano and Ms.Carolina Pérez Colman, visited the London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN) on Friday 4 April. Dr Barañao met the co-Director of the LCN, Professor Gabriel Aeppli, as well as Professor Michael Horton and colleagues to discuss the research of the LCN and to have a short tour of the facility. Nanotechnology is a government priority for Argentina.
The LCN is a new UK-based multisciplinary research centre, purpose-built to enable work at the forefront of science and technology. The LCN brings together two of the world's leading institutions, namely University College London (UCL) and Imperial College London, with strong capabilities in the underlying disciplines - engineering, physical sciences and biomedicine - which are bridged by nanotechnology. Our aim is to provide the nanoscience and nanotechnology needed to solve major problems in information processing, health care, and energy and environment. |
