Endomagnetics wins 2007 Innova Award
Endomagnetics was set up by Professor Quentin Pankhurst (pictured left, deputy director of LCN and professor of Physics at University College London), Simon Hattersley (systems engineer) and Professor Audrius Brazdeikis (research assistant professor of physics at the University of Houston, Texas). They have developed a novel detection procedure for staging and diagnosing breast cancer which uses an advanced magnetic sensing probe based on high-temperature superconductors and a solution of iron oxide nanoparticles.
