The LCN supports its members in exploiting intellectual property through the creation of spinout companies. Key examples are shown below.

SPINOUTS
Endomagnetics Inc. - was founded to solve a range of important surgical and healthcare diagnostic problems through the application of novel advances in bio-magnetics, nanotechnology and magnetic sensing technology based on high-temperature superconductors.	Oxford Authentication Ltd -  it has performed over 18,000 tests. List of clients include major museums, auction houses, dealers and collectors. The company is international, with representatives in Hong Kong, the USA and Europe as well as countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Israel and South Africa.
Zinwave - founded by Professor Alwyn Seeds with colleagues from Cambridge University and industry to exploit wireless over fibre technology developed by UCL and Cambridge. Zinwave manufactures systems to provide cellular and wireless coverage in areas where conventional wireless coverage is poor.
THE BIO-NANO CENTRE
The Bio-Nano Centre -  BNC is a company capable of providing a seamless concept-to-market route for the bio-nanotechnology sector with unique access to specialists and facilties at Imperial College and University College London.	Current clients include Targanta Therapeutics - a pharmaceutical company and a large healthcare multinational. More details on capabilities and projects are available on  the BNC website.
