RESEARCH COLLABORATION/CONTRACTS

LCN enters collaborations with companies in many ways including research contracts, longer-term relationships which can lead to the joint-development and/or licensing of technology.

- SUN Microsystems - development of a visualisation system
- BP - research in photovoltaics
- DMD - development of single-crystal diamond electronics

LICENSING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

  Both Imperial College and University College London have companies that manage technology transfer and consultancy process. They also have a role in company incubation and early stage funding. The LCN works closely with these companies to assist in the exploitation of its intellectual property portfolio.

CONSULTANCY

UCL and Imperial College academics and research staff may be used for consultancy assignments. You may approach the academics direct or call the LCN general number who will be able to direct you the most appropriate person.
