About Knowledge Transfer

LCN pulls together world-class research, infrastructure and commercial best practices, and has excellent exploitation prospects across the pharmaceutical, biotech, energy, engineering and computing markets.

LCN business strategy focuses on developing and exploiting a focused portfolio of intellectual property (IP) clustered along its major themes – Healthcare, Information Technology and Planet Care. Various knowledge and technology transfer processes have been integrated into the Centre’s operating model (see diagram to the side).

They include the creation of spinouts, licensing of technology through the colleges' tech transfer companies, consultancy assignments and  company sponsored studentships, fellowships and professorial chairs.
